The Government has obtained approval from the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council for funding injection into the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) to support the implementation of various enhancement measures, including an expansion of the scope of CEF courses to all eligible courses registered in Qualifications Register (QR) effective from 1 April 2019. At CUHK, the Academic and Quality Section, Registry provides support to the Senate Committee on SPCEP, and administration of CEF for self-financed programmes.
Self-financed programmes that are interested in or currently operating the CEF courses must read and be fully aware of the Labour and Welfare Bureau (LWB)’s requirements as set out in the Guide to Registration, Renewal of Registration and Amendment to Course Specifications of Reimbursable Courses under the Continuing Education Fund (For Local Self-accrediting Course Providers). With effect from 3 October 2024, all submissions should be made through manual input of entries into an e-Platform of LWB under a designated University account. Relevant information is also available for download from a designated Share Point site (link) with CUHK login email for Office 365 and OnePass password.
For prospective students of the list of CEF reimbursable courses, the latest information on CEF is available on the website of the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency of The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. You are highly encouraged to check and confirm the details with the relevant programme offering units concerned in advance. Current students may offer feedback on their enrolled CEF course(s) via this link.
